Energy Saving Trust

Energy Saving Trust (EST) provides free expert and independent advice to help householders, organisations and communities save energy, reduce energy costs and move towards adopting lower carbon lifestyles.

EST’s Home Energy Scotland network, funded by Scottish Government, provides free, impartial energy advice to support householders. Whether you own or rent your home, Home Energy Scotland can help householders take control of their energy bills. Support ranges from home energy saving tips to help people save energy and keep homes warmer for less, to information about funding and grants available for new boilers, insulation and heating systems, to help make homes more efficient. Advisors can see if householders are eligible for financial support, benefits and incentives, and advise on shopping around for a cheaper energy supply.

Support for businesses, funded by Transport Scotland, an agency of the Scottish Government, can help organisations reduce business transport costs and lower emissions, helping to meet carbon reduction commitments. A range of free support available includes free sustainable transport reviews, advice on switching to electric vehicles, and information about financial support available to help reduce business travel costs including grants and interest free loans. Advisors can also help staff make more cost-effective and greener lifestyle and travel choices.
